New Years Day

Tyler started out the new year with a playdate with his buddy Sutter. They had fun turning off the lights in the hallway and bathroom and creating their own light show with flashlights and any sort of toy that lit up.

Chinese New Year

While Bill was on a business trip Alana and Tyler went up to the Bay Are to visit Grandma and Grandpa Mok and celebrate Chinese New Year. Aunt Lillian hosted a New Years luncheon in San Francisco at the Empress of China restaurant so we took a drive up there as well.

The drums are too loud Mommy.

Nice dragon.

Nice lantern.

Some of the San Francisco skyline with the Chinatown playground in the forefront.

Tyler and Harrison

Tyler got to spend some quality time with “best friend” Harrison watching Thomas the Tank Engine. Harrison looks tired because he is. He refused to take a nap that day.

Wheelchair Races

After falling off a ladder (it’s a long story, don’t ask), Grandpa Mok broke his hip and cracked his ribs. He spent some time in a recovery home and confined to a wheelchair. We spent a lot of time up north helping out around the house and with his properties. Grandpa made of the best of it though and got to spend some quality time with Tyler. The wheelchair races were a favorite of Tyler’s.

Miscellaneous Pics

Tyler managed enough to earn enough money to buy a train himself. He had a really hard time deciding which one to get.

Tyler is doing really well writing his own name.
